(The cause of this problem is currently under investigation) Probably the items are hidden for some reasons while only one side of the Loop or Section remains.
As a workaround, in Edit sequence screen, select the menu of Item Appearance – For support – Show all hidden items. It will show all hidden items including the collapsed loops / sections.
